Stress Management

stress management hypnosis

Stress is one of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives. With hypnosis, we are able to help you recover motivation, perspective, and joy that you once had in your life.

Reduce stress and feel relaxed. Given techniques to relax yourself in the midst of stressful situations and deal with situations as they arise more effectively.

Stress can steal away much of life’s enjoyment, but it can also be greatly reduced when you know how. Hypnosis helps empower you to rise above your fears, limitations and negative beliefs. It helps calm you down, create lasting peace of mind, and generate a new habit of being calm and relaxed.

The experience of suffering from panic attacks can be so bad that it halts the person’s ability to function on a daily basis.  Instead they feel constantly stressed as their minds are already anticipating future attacks. In some cases, that feeling can lead to feelings of insecurity as the person begins to personalize the situation. They begin to doubt themselves.

The good thing is that it is possible to end panic attacks through hypnosis. By retraining the mind to think and experience things differently, you are able to function from a different place, a place where the mind and body are calm and you feel more whole and complete.

Stress and anxiety management isn't something that you switch on and off when you need it. Good stress management techniques are part of life, protecting you from the ravages of stress when life gets tough. Whether it's work stress or anxiety from another part of your life causing problems, hypnosis will radically alter your response to stressful situations, allowing you to:

  • Find yourself becoming much more relaxed about life in general
  • Take command of your emotional responses
  • Become more and more skilled at calming and quieting troubling thoughts
  • Think much more clearly and effectively about helpful ways to prepare for upcoming events
  • Enjoy life so much more

Stop Smoking

stop smoking hypnosis

No matter how much you smoke or how long you’ve been smoking, you can stop smoking without anxiety, irritability or cravings.

Hypnosis is a resoundingly modern yet astoundingly simple way to help end your smoking addiction for life. As long as you have a desire to quit, it will help you break the dependency mechanism without gaining weight or wearing any uncomfortable needles or patches.

Maybe you've already tried to stop smoking before. Maybe you have used the nicotine patches, the nicotine gum, the inhalers, or even the pills. You may even have gone into counseling, used group programs, or maybe you attempted to tough it out and go "cold turkey."

One of my very favorite authors, Mark Twain, once wrote: "It’s easy to quit smoking. I’ve done it hundreds of times." The fact is that eighty percent of smokers who attempt to quit smoking without using an appropriate cessation program will eventually relapse (Institute of Medicine of the National Academies).

One part of you knows you should stop smoking for your health and survival, yet another part of you simply won’t let you. The part of you that doesn’t let you quit is your subconscious mind, the one that drives all your beliefs, motivations and self-limitations. Problem is, you can’t change your subconscious patterns by force or will power.

All change happens at the subconscious level and the good news is, it can happen in an instant. Once you make the decision to quit, you have already taken the hardest step. Hypnosis will simply help you tap into the powerful resources of your subconscious mind to catch up with your conscious decision to quit.

Hypnosis was found to be more than twice as effective as quitting "cold turkey," and over three times as effective as nicotine replacement therapy, according to a a study presented October 22, 2007 at the annual meeting of the American College of Chest Physicians. According to an independent University of Washington School of Medicine study, hypnosis has a 90.6% success rate helping smokers quit. Last but not least, the prestigious American Medical Association now recognizes that using hypnosis in counseling sessions is one of the most powerful tools to break the nicotine habit.

The reason it’s easier to quit smoking with hypnosis is that we transfer the pleasure derived from smoking to a healthier new habit. This is why many people find they do not gain any unwanted weight or have other problems associated with kicking the habit.

The only side effects  of quitting smoking with hypnosis were increased health and freedom.

If you are considering hypnosis to quit smoking, the first step is to make sure you are choosing to quit for yourself. Hypnosis is most effective if you really want to quit. If you are doing it because you think you should or because a friend or a family member is pushing you, you may not get the results you're expecting.

Your health is the most precious thing you have. Safeguard it by starting your plan to become smoke free. If you are one of the 9 out of 10 smokers that would stop if you knew how, you now have a powerful and proven way to help you quit that neutralizes the desire to smoke and frees you from the pangs of withdrawal.

Quit smoking hypnosis. Quit Smoking once and for all without the strong cravings and without gaining weight. If you have the desire to quit smoking then this will be the strongest help you have ever had to finally stop. You will be able to still do the things you used to do around the same group of people however you will feel great that you are now a nonsmoker!

Weight Loss

weight loss hypnosis

When it comes to losing weight, many individuals know to focus on eating less and exercising more. But a major aspect of weight control involves understanding and managing thoughts and behaviors that can often interfere with weight loss.

Board Certified Hypnotists are experts in helping people make behavioral and lifestyle changes that assist with weight management. They may work with individuals independently in their private practice or as part of a health care team, often in a setting where mental health and medical services are integrated. Sometimes a hypnotist will work on weight control with a patient who has been referred by a physician, dietitian or other health care professional.

People who seek help from hypnotists range in age from teenagers to adults. They include those who simply struggle with managing their weight as well as individuals whose weight problems are related to chronic illnesses like diabetes and heart disease or other conditions like depression, anxiety or eating disorders.

An initial visit with a hypnotist usually involves a discussion about your history and concerns. This may include your weight management goals and past efforts to lose weight, medical history, stress levels, current life situation and your sources of social support like family and friends.

In order to help you, hypnotists also want to learn about your habits and attitudes about food, eating, weight loss and body image that may not support your health goals.

Common unhealthy beliefs that people express include: having to clean off their plate; needing dessert after meals; and feeling like a failure when weight loss stalls. Some typical behaviors include: eating whatever they want after exercise; using food to cope with feelings of boredom or stress; and continuing to eat when they are no longer hungry.

These types of behaviors and beliefs often sabotage weight loss efforts. Hypnotists talk to patients about their challenges to making healthy choices and identify the triggers that prompt the patient to make unhealthy choices. A hypnotist may also evaluate a patient for anxiety, depression and eating disorders such as binge eating. These conditions can sometimes contribute to weight issues.

Hypnotists help individuals address obstacles to weight loss, identify positive ways to change unhealthy habits and develop new skills and ways of thinking. Most hypnotists concentrate on one health behavior at a time. For example, if evenings are a challenging time to maintain good eating habits, the hypnotherapist may ask the patient to keep a log of food eaten in the evenings and make notes about their environment, how they felt and what they were thinking. These factors provide important information about what is driving eating behaviors and help the psychologist and client figure out a way to address the behaviors.

The ultimate goal is to help people develop skills so they can lead healthy lives. After even a few sessions, most clients begin to notice changes. For example, patients may start to challenge old beliefs about food and practice new ones that support their health goals.

Hypnosis for weight loss. Easily and permanently in a happy manner. This is not a diet. . You will notice that you no longer have the need or desire to snack between meals or late night, you will be eating slower and much less. You will find your confidence and self-esteem increasing as you approach your ideal weight and figure.

Sports Improvement

sports hypnosis

Sports Hypnosis is one of several techniques that athletes may employ to accomplish their sporting goals and it is equally beneficial to coaches as well as athletes.

Hypnosis does for the mind what physical activity does for the body of an athlete. The theory behind sports hypnosis is that relaxation is key to improved sporting performance and athletes may perform better if they are able to relax mentally and focus on the task at hand.

Hypnosis may help athletes attain relaxation during practice and competition. Hypnosis may also help to control anxiety and manage stress in athletes. Athletes may develop auto-response to pre-established stimuli which is geared towards achieving optimal performance levels.

“Sports is 90 percent mental and the other half is physical.” - Yogi Berra  While his math was intentionally, and humorously, wrong, he made a key point: the mental side of sports is often more important than the physical side. This mental rundown of things to do and possible failures is the same for most people standing at the free throw line, batting in the company softball game, or bowling with friends in a Thursday night league.

The conscious mind can only handle about nine things at a time, so it can quickly be overwhelmed. The subconscious mind, on the other hand, handles millions of things at once. It’s the part of your mind that takes care of heartbeat, blinking, breathing, digestion, etc. It makes sense that an athlete would be better served by the part of the mind that adjusts dozens of muscles at a time, accounts for thousands of possible opponent moves, or gauges the necessary swing speed. But when we are ready to serve, shoot or putt, and we think about what we have to do or what we don’t want to happen, we are engaging our limited conscious mind.

As a hypnotist, my job is to help my sports performance clients stop using their conscious mind and start using their subconscious mind. “You’ll never think your way into better athletics,” I’ve told more than one client. When it comes to sports, from my perspective, thinking is the problem.

The U.S. Olympic team sports psychologist reports that 80% of any sport is mental. If you want to improve your confidence, focus and performance, then using your subconscious mind is the natural option. Using hypnosis to enhance your mental edge and maximize sports performance is different from coaching and sport psychology. Hypnosis Worx has helped numerous athletes overcome their own obstacles, improve their personal best and peak performance whether it was reducing their number of strokes or the number of seconds on their clock.

Improve your mental game by staying centered, balanced, and in control. Imagine the difference if you could remain calm and confident when you needed it and could create a "state of excellence" at will. Peak performance is achieved through mental rehearsal. Many trainers say 80% of an athlete's success is determined by your mind in the game. And fortunately, using sports hypnosis is not considered cheating, but rather sharpening your mind. With the appropriate mental conditioning, if you were once good at particular sport and then had a set back, you can once again feel confident in your athletic abilities.

I use advanced, proven hypnotic techniques. Athletes can learn how to be confident, increase their focus, break bad habits, conquer slumps, develop muscle relaxation, improve their visualization techniques, overcome mental blocks and barriers, reinforce self-belief, motivation and positive thinking, develop and focus on success strategies to maximize motivation and develop auto-responses to enhance performance.
